This is our first podcast by our new host, Lauren Webb!  Lauren interviewed patrons and artists who attended the opening of SWORN IN, an exhibition guest-curated by Lauri Mancuso that opened on January 19, 2009.

"Stitchers" was a one night event that happened on Friday, May 23 at Future Tenant. The aim of the exhibit was to investigate the artistic process of sewing from the vantage point of five different artists. In this episode I talk with 3 of the artists from "Stitchers": Vontinka (Jennifer Bailey), Joseph Martin, and Suz Pisano. Then I am joined by the new directors of Future Tenant, Jamie Leonardi and Mary Sheridan, as they tell us what we can expect from the upcoming year under their rule! In this episode we talk with the curator Heather Mallak and communications coordinator Heather Jarrot about the process of finding Heathers, the response to the show so far, and what their name means to them. Taste Matters was an unusual collection of art works that were purchased in thrift stores specifically for that exhibit. I spoke with Robert Raczka and a few art collectors at the closing of this event where the public was invited to come and take a piece of the artwork home. The Found vs. PostSecret tour recently came to Future Tenant and we had a chance to talk to Davey Rothbart, the founder of Found Magazine. Future Ten 4: Good Buddy is Future Tenant's festival of ten plays, each one of them ten minutes long, going on over TWO weekends!
